I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and to give you some background information about our company.
My family has been in the glass and glazing industry since the early 1900's when my grandfather emigrated from Italy and opened a small retail glass shop in Connecticut.
In the early 1960's, my father joined the business as a glazier and continued to run the business until 2004.
From the time I was seven years old I worked in the glass shop, fixing storm windows and screens for a whopping 25 cents for each repaired properly. I enjoyed the business and would work after school and on weekends though high school and then on holidays and breaks throughout college.
As I worked I learned the business. I saw a void in the market for a reliable supplier of quality architectural aluminum products.
In 1993 I started Evans Distribution with a mission to provide such a service. Through hard work and dedicated service the company has continued to grow each year, serving glass shops in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and throughout the world.
In 1994 I was named the Connecticut Glass Dealers Association Man of the Year award after serving as the association membership director and treasurer for over ten years.
In 2004 my father closed his retail glass shop and has since joined me as a project manager and estimator. It's great to have him here, knowing that our family's dedication to servicing the customer will continue since those first days in business.
